One for the knitters – Introducing the Rainfall Shawl

Rainfall Shawl knitting pattern

I’ve published a few crochet posts and patterns recently, but never fear, by needles are never far away!  I didn’t want the knitters out there to feel left out and so I’m pleased to announce that I’m finally ready to publish this new free knitting pattern

Here is knitted shawl(ette?) that I know some of you have been waiting for!

Introducing my rainfall shawl!

Rainfall-Shawl

This is a super-simple and easily adjusted shawl/shawlette, knitted using stockinette and garter-stitch stripes, with cascading eyelets to add a bit of interest.

I’ve knitted it using Koigu KPPM, but any fingering weight yarn will do.  This simple pattern is great to show off a variegated yarn.

I’ve designed this shawl to be big enough to wrap around your shoulders to keep your neck warm in the winter or shoulders warm on cooler summer evenings…

…but this asymetrical triangle can easily be made larger or smaller by adding or taking away blocks of stitches.

I’ve added instructions for making a larger size if you wish!

If you fancy making this pattern, you can find it on Ravelry here or download it from here.  Its free! 🙂

Happy knitting folks!

Jo
