Re-brand alert!

So, I’ve been thinking for some time that my blog “brand” wasn’t quite what I wanted.

I’ve spent a few days doing some investigating, pouring over colour charts, hunting down fonts and generally trying to “professionalise” my posts a bit more.

YES “professionalise” is a word and NO, “professionalisation” (also a word!) does not mean that I will start using only words recognised by the Oxford English Dictionary….I have a licence to create language Mr Bond…

What I’m going to blog about won’t change, I’m happy with that and the logo is staying…I still love that!

But I now have a new font…

and a slightly different colour scheme!

I can’t wait to use these lovely pastel colours next to this cool grey!

I had a slightly frustrating evening tonight trying to work out how to change the fonts using CSS as the “plug-in” wasn’t working.  I hope I have it sussed now but I’ll be checking over the next few days to make sure there are no gremlins.  I apologise in advance if anyone spots one before I fix it!!

Like all of you other bloggers out there, I spend a long time on my posts, tutorials, and thinking up things to blog about that might be interesting.  So much time that I almost don’t get time to do any knitting or crochet….which kinda defeats the object.  Never fear, I need less sleep than I realised haha! 🙂

I love doing all this blogging though and that the number of people finding my blog, reading, commenting and following what I’m up to is steadily growing, for which I’m very grateful.

I hope you aren’t “turned-off” by my new look! 🙂

To everyone who reads my blog, whether you “follow” me or not.  I love you all!!

Thank you! 🙂

Back in the day, when I was actively blogging, I used to change my template roughly twice a week: I really loved all that went with doing that, and paid for just about every WordPress extra so that I could play around to my heart’s content. I think your base font is my favourite, Open Sans; but of course everything you set up won’t necessarily show on all screens (as you know).
I’m not sure about the ‘hollow’ sub-heading font: it can look as if it’s not showing properly …

  2. I like the new look! I just recently started playing around with a new look for my blog, too… it must be the season for change! 🙂

      1. Mine’s a work in progress. I swapped the pre-made theme already, but haven’t finished tweaking the rest of it to make the preset work with what I want.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this post...please leave comments below!
